About YAD
in Youth Action for Development (YAD) was founded in 2023 by a group of passionate young changemakers committed to empowering youth and driving social change in Bangladesh. Recognizing the diverse challenges faced by young people and communities, YAD was established as a youth-led, non-political, and voluntary organization that engages people in leadership, advocacy, community development, and sustainable initiatives.
To strengthen our legitimacy and expand our impact, YAD is officially registered under the Department of Youth Development, Government of Bangladesh.
Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a global network of youth leaders by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, digital platforms, and mentorship necessary to drive measurable social and environmental impact. Through culturally sensitive advocacy, collaborative partnerships, and innovative capacity-building initiatives, we empower young people especially those from marginalized communities to promote sustainable development goals and create equitable opportunities.

Transforming communities through innovative programs that empower youth, build skills, and create sustainable change across Bangladesh.
Empowering Coastal Communities Addressing Climate Change and Resilience
To cultivate a cohort of skilled and empowered youth leaders from within climate-affected communities, equipping them with the tools to spearhead local adaptation strategies and build long-term community resilience.

ইন্টারনেট হোক নিরাপদ: যুব সমাজের অঙ্গীকার (Let the Internet be Safe: The Pledge of the Youth)
To empower a generation of digitally resilient and responsible citizens. We aimed to foster secure digital habits and promote a culture of positive online engagement to help create a safer digital ecosystem for all.

শব্দ দূষণ বন্ধ এবং সহনশীল মাত্রায় নিয়ে আসা সামাজিক আন্দোলন (Social Movement to Stop Sound Pollution and Bring it to a Tolerable Level)
To mobilize a citizen-led movement to demand the enforcement of noise pollution control laws and to drive policy-level action, with the ultimate aim of reducing noise to a safe and tolerable level for all residents.
- Duration: Multi-phase Campaign (Phase 1: May-June 2024; Phase 2: Nov-Dec 2024)

Youth Hub Partner in Renewable Energy Fest 2025
Our objective within the festival was to empower and engage youth, ensuring their perspectives were integrated into the national dialogue on energy goals.
